Our Approach
We're different from the consulting firms you've worked with before. We're a values-based organisation on a mission to deliver better consultancy. Subject matter experts lead all our work, and we deliver on-site, side by side with your teams every day.
We approach every project with the voices of patients and service users on one shoulder and the taxpayer on the other. That's why we won't do pure cost-cutting projects. Reducing costs and improving care at the same time is hard, but it can be done. And in our experience, it's the only way to deliver sustainable financial, quality and performance benefits.
01
Being the easiest consulting firm in the UK to work with
Our commercial models deliver the best value for money and flexibility for our clients. After each stage of work, clients can opt out (risk and penalty-free) if they feel we've given them enough knowledge to carry on without us. We always work on a fixed-price and contingent-fee model. This means if we don't deliver what we said we would, you won't pay full price. This approach ensures that we're more than consultants; we're long-term delivery partners.
02
Being the most enjoyable consulting firm to work with
We only do work that makes real differences in people's lives, which is why sustainability and legacy are so important. Collaboration and involvement of your teams are key to what we do, because we truly believe it's the people who deliver care are the best people to improve the care. We focus on building trust-based relationships from day one. All our delivery programmes include training and capability development for the teams we work with, making sure the work we deliver with you stays with you.
03
Our three-phase consulting approach
Our Discovery Phase will help you understand the causes of your challenges in unprecedented detail. We will identify and prioritise the biggest opportunities for change and transformation, including operational, quality, and financial opportunities, alongside a detailed understanding of your specific conditions and readiness for change.

Our Design Phase will take your teams from opportunities to tested and costed new models of care. Using the learning from Discovery, our knowledge of clinical guidelines, and national best practices, we'll work with your teams to develop and test new ways of working to solve your biggest problems.

Our Delivery Phase is for those times when your teams are consumed by their day jobs. This is our longest phase, and it is where we will provide all the support, capacity, and capability you need to transform your services. This is also where our contingent fee model kicks in, so we'll have as much skin in the game as you do to make sure the programme delivers meaningful and tangible change.
